{"id":18092,"date":"2020-10-23T10:40:21","date_gmt":"2020-10-23T10:40:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celonpharma.com\/?p=18092"},"modified":"2020-10-23T10:40:21","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T10:40:21","slug":"scientist-biologist-in-metabolic-disorders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celonpharma.com\/en\/scientist-biologist-in-metabolic-disorders\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientist \u2013 Biologist in Metabolic Disorders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Preclinical Development Department CELON PHARMA S.A.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In connection with the realization of the research projects under Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020, axis 1.1, 1.2 i 4.1, we hereby announce the recruitment for: <strong>SCIENTIST &#8211; Biologist<\/strong> in the Metabolic Disorders Research Group in Preclinical Development Department &#8211; Celon Pharma S.A.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Major Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Execution of <em>in vitro<\/em> experiments and designing <em>in vivo<\/em> experiments,<\/li>\n<li>planning, interpretation and analyzing results of experiments aiming at development of novel candidates (low molecular compounds and proteins) for drugs for metabolic disorders: mainly diabetes, NAFLD, neuropathies,<\/li>\n<li>implementation of new techniques into projects,<\/li>\n<li>supporting the project management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>PhD or MSc degree in the Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy field or in a relevant Life Science with well documented scientific achievements ; PhD degree is welcome.<\/li>\n<li>Proven, at least 4-year experience in independent research work (e.g. doctoral study or work as scientist\/specialist at academia or pharma company),<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of metabolism, endocrinology, biochemical processes on the molecular level,<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, immunoblot, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, cell fractionation, light microscopy, and the like,<\/li>\n<li>Experience with cell line genetic modifications \u2013 overexpression and silencing of genes: transfections, eukaryotic expression vectors, siRNA or CRISPR,<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in cell line culturing i.e. adipocytes, pancreatic \u03b2-cells, hepatocytes, primary cells,<\/li>\n<li>Basic experience with microarrays or RNAsec and analyses of the transcriptome,<\/li>\n<li>Effective planning of and executing the functional and survival experiments in cells,<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in big data handling and analyzing,<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of practical statistics for <em>in vivo<\/em> and <em>in vitro<\/em> experiments as well as proficiency in dedicated stat. programs,<\/li>\n<li>Effective documentation of the work: writing scientific publications, reports, manuals,<\/li>\n<li>Professional proficiency in English,<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics is welcome,<\/li>\n<li>Experience with R or Python is advantageous,<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of drug development and drug discovery is welcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>General requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Proven ability to design, execute and interpret critical experiments independently.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse multidisciplinary teams,<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivation and willingness to learn new techniques in molecular biology,<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills,<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm and scientific curiosity in the field of metabolism and pain management,<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to undertake new challenges and thinking out-of-the-box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>We offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Participation in the R&amp;D projects focused on novel drug candidates,<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to participate in all preclinical stages of drug development process,<\/li>\n<li>Work in the cutting-edge research center,<\/li>\n<li>Work in a dynamic, young and interdisciplinary project team,<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration with the excellent institutes in Poland and worldwide,<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity for career development,<\/li>\n<li>Full-time employment and job benefits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Candidates are asked to send their applications (CV and a motivation letter in English) to: <a href=\"mailto:rekrutacja@celonpharma.com\">rekrutacja@celonpharma.com<\/a> within 30 days from the date of the announcement.
